TAILS FROM THE HEART
|
The shelters are filled with dogs who have been abandoned for one reason or another. Some have been given away because their owners no longer have time for their pets, or because they are moving to a new apartment or home that doesn't allow animals. Some pets have been left on the streets and are expected to fend for themselves. If you are looking for a true companion and a real friend, there is more than likely a four-legged buddy at an animal shelter, waiting there for you to take him home. Animals add dimension to our lives and many many people find it difficult to live without them. Pets are loyal, forgiving, devoted and dedicated in their jobs as companions. All they ask for, in return, is a bed, food, kindness and a caring hand to shelter them. The short essays, written by the owners of pets who have been beloved members of their families, are listed below. These are "tails" that will warm your heart and soul , even if you are not a pet owner or have never owned a dog.
