Presenting............
Romie
Hi! My
name is Romie and I am a young adult spayed female Terrier who was very
frightened when I was found in in neighborhood in Westchester. This shelter kept
receiving calls about me and they brought me here. I was so scared it wasn't
even funny, and was I ever hungry too! I tried to keep out of the rain and windy
weather by sleeping on peoples' porches and eating scraps that concerned
neighbors kept giving me. It is the middle of winter and I really didn't have
much to eat and I was becoming weaker and weaker every day. After several
attempts to catch me, the shelter staff managed to coax me to come to them, and
it was a very thin and very cold brown dog who finally entered the rescue van. I
am slowly adjusting to the shelter and although I tend to be a wee bit shy, I
have shown the folks here that I am a very gentle, sweet dog who is learning to
make new friends. It is good to be out of Mother Nature's elements, but it would
be better to be in a home of my own. Please consider adopting me and making my
dream come true. |
