The New Rochelle Humane Society works closely with all authorities in the enforcement of animal protection laws and respond to reports of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. We provide necessary veterinary care to these animals.

The Humane Society operates 24 hours a day, attending sick, injured or distressed animals throughout our communities.

Our staff professionals answer hundreds of calls each day regarding animal care. They help solve animal related problems and make referrals to other agencies on matters of wildlife and much more.

HOW TO HELP ANIMALS WHO WERE DISPLACED BY HURRICANE KATRINA

The New Rochelle Humane Society has opened its doors to animals -pets and shelter dogs and cats -who have been displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Cooperating with other shelters and rescue organizations, we are offering sanctuary and care to dogs and cats rescued from the Gulf Coast.

We urge all of you to reach out and support rescue efforts. The following organizations desperately need your donations:
