    Hi!  My name is Mae and I am young spayed female Terrier who is a beautiful shade of chocolate brown. I am what they call a "fairly mellow" dog who could easily live in an apartment. I am not quite sure what the folks here mean by the word "mellow" ...does that mean that I am calm, cool, and collected? I guess it must mean something like that because otherwise they wouldn't suggest that I could be an apartment dweller. Noisy animals and noisy children are never welcome in an apartment style kind of living. I get along very well with male dogs...the ones who have good doggy manners. Uppity females sometimes annoy me although I try not to let them see how I feel when they try to show off in front of me.  I do enjoy being with people too. I would love to have my owner take me for nice walks around the neighborhood where I will be living. Then I can get to know my surroundings a little better. Neighborhood gossip is always fun to sniff!  I was originally found wandering around in the neighborhood where I used to live and it was a concerned animal lover who felt sorry for me and brought me to this shelter. My owners never even bothered to try to find me. I sit here and dream of a cozy home, with owners who will hug me and love me to bits. Could that special person possibly be you?
