Meet Nicole Wells, a Girl Scout, who organized and ran a fund raising event. She
did it as a community project to earn a bronze pin. Nicole went to the shelter and
took a video which she showed to the Girl Scout Troup, ran an auction
(proceeds went to our shelter).She also had younger scouts fill socks with filler
and catnip for our cats. Our grateful thanks goes to Nicole and all those who
supported her efforts. Your love of animals is very evident in all of your
generous good deeds.

LIAM’S 3^RD YEAR OF DONATING HIS BIRTHDAY GIFTS…

A couple of weeks ago, Liam requested that the guests at
his 9th birthday party bring dog or cat food to donate to our shelter
(in lieu of gifts for him). His guests responded very generously
with food and money which Liam brought to the shelter. This is Liam’s
third year of donating his birthday gifts to our four-legged friends
and we are grateful that he is such a kind and thoughtful young man.

Meet our good friend...NATALIE

      Every year, for the past several years, Natalie has taken on the task of
raising money for our shelter. She has been a staunch supporter of our
four-legged residents and they have benefited in many ways from her
kind thoughts and deeds. This past December, Natalie raised $405 from
a holiday temple fair.

      Again, the woofs and meows of thanks can be heard loud and clear
for one kind and thoughtful young lady.

   We all appreciate your hard work....THANK YOU NATALIE!

Ilan donated $250. from his 11th birthday party!

Many thanks Ilan for your generous gift to help our residents enjoy their stay in the shelter. Life for these dogs and cats is not easy ~ many of these animals were once pets in someone's home. Your kindness is very much appreciated by everyone, especially the big and little meows and woofs that look forward to their special treats.

Stephanie is not the only one smiling. The residents at
the shelter are grinning, too! They will be receiving the
gifts that the guests at Stephanie’s 12^th birthday party
brought instead of personal gifts for Stephanie. Thanks

         MEET ROBERT...
THE BOY WITH A KIND HEART...

    In lieu of birthday gifts at his birthday party,
Robert had each of his guests bring an item from our
shelter wish list. It is the second year that Robert has
donated his birthday gifts to the shelter. Thanks Robert!
You are a kind and generous young man. Our cats and dogs
are forever grateful for what you have done.

         KID POWER ...
Noam Gressel and nine of his good friends organized
and ran a booth which benefited NRHS on November 18, 2007!
His friends that worked all day at this booth at the
Kol-Ami congregation in White Plains were:

Karina, a seven-year-old supporter of the New Rochelle Humane Society
raised $1,000.00 for the dog and cat residents of our shelter. This young

   Abe Eligator and Lillianne Donnely raised over $30 for New Rochelle
Humane Society selling lemonade on Sunday Sept.23rd on their street in Larchmont.
Thank you so much for helping all of our dogs and cats as they wait for

    Emily routinely gathers items from our wish list to benefit the animals at our shelter! Thanks to Emily, and her helper, Jade (adopted from the NRHS) the canine and feline residents of this shelter will enjoy treats and other goodies.    Meet a kind and caring young lady...

                 ANNA

Anna's love and concern for animals prompted her to write a letter to her neighbors
asking for donations for the New Rochelle Humane Society. Anna raised $320.00
and collected numerous bags filled with supplies for the cats and dogs at our shelter.
This summer, Anna repeated her good deed AGAIN, bringing even more donations to the shelter.
What a wonderful friend of animals you are, Anna!

   A Note from Michael's mother...

I am sending you a photo of my son, Michael, who donated $31 to the shelter on his 7th birthday.
We adopted a cat from you almost 6 years ago, and the cat has a very happy life with us. : )
Michael wants to be a zoologist (or marine biologist) when he grows up, and cares about al animals
on earth. He wanted to donate some of his money which he saved over two years to your shelter
because he knows that's where our cat came from when he was just 1 year old!
      Michael enjoyed the visit to the shelter. He loved the cats' room.

   Introducing.... Stephanie and Rachel



                    Turning eleven years old was not only a special day for these two best friends who share the same birthday... it was also a special moment for our shelter residents.This is the third time that Stephanie and Rachel have donated their birthday
gifts to NRHS.

     Thanks again, Stephanie and Rachel, for your continued kindness and good thoughts.
              The woofs and meows of thanks continue from our residents.
              We all hope you had a wonderful birthday!

      In November 2006, Timmy Clarke's family happily adopted two beautiful cats,Lima and Sugar, from the New Rochelle Humane Society. When Timmy's 10th birthday arrived, he decided that he wanted to donate his gifts to help the other animals at the shelter.
     On Monday, January 16, 2007, Timmy and his friends had fun celebrating his birthday and they donated over $200 and lots of cat and dog food and pet toys to the shelter.
When they visited the shelter, they played with some of the animals and a good time was had by all.
        Grateful thanks goes to Jimmy and all of his friends... Alessandro, Charlie, Brendan M., Brendan F., Mike M., Dean, David, Bailey, Peter, Stephen, Chriss, Chris, Michael C., and Tripp.

     We send our love and woofs and meows for thinking of all of us!
